Milexy | Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

At the Ruth Paz Foundation, we are honored to accompany Milexy and her mother, Dania, on their journey to recovery.

Four-year-old Milexy suffered an accident that left her with severe burns on her hands. During that difficult time, Dania endured the pain of seeing her daughter suffer, but what was most heartbreaking was that, initially, she was told she had caused the injuries, which shattered her heart. However, the support of a neighbor who had gone through a similar situation led them to our Foundation, where they began receiving the care they so desperately needed.

After several visits and a lot of effort, Milexy was able to undergo reconstructive surgery on her hand. Although she was initially afraid of the procedure, today we can see how her courage and the dedication of the Foundation's medical team have made a huge difference in her life. Milexy, who will now be able to regain the use of her hand, is happier and more grateful for the change.
