Joel Alessandro | Interplast Cleft Lip and Palate Medical Brigade | 2021

Joel Alessandro underwent cleft palate surgery. Although many patients require more than one procedure, his mother hopes this will be his only surgery.

His family learned that Joel had a cleft palate at birth and waited a year and a half for Alessandro to be in optimal condition for surgery, as well as for the medical brigades to resume following the pandemic.

His mother, Sandra Paredes, tells us:

“We are very happy and grateful for the care we have received here. The care is equal to or even better than that of a private clinic. What we are asked to contribute is minimal considering the high-quality, first-class care they provide. I am very grateful, and I will recommend them wherever I go.
