Ingrid | 4 years old | 2013
Ingrid was admitted to Ruth Paz Pediatric Hospital on December 28, 2012. With burns covering 23% of her total body surface area, Ingrid had second-degree (IIA and IIB) and third-degree burns. While lighting a match, her little skirt caught fire and became adhered to her skin.

The little girl, who was referred from Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital, received skin grafts on her abdomen and right thigh, where she suffered third-degree burns. The grafted areas have already been uncovered and are being treated with powders. We are waiting to remove the staples.
Our little patient also suffered burns to her chest and left thigh. Ingrid receives daily wound cleanings, debridement procedures, and special creams.
Just like Ingrid, many other patients receive care every day thanks to the support of compassionate individuals and companies.
