At 13 years old, Angie has already undergone surgery. Diagnosis: scoliosis.

At age 11, the young girl began experiencing symptoms of this difficult-to-treat condition. By the time she was 13, she had difficulty breathing due to the curvature of her spine and was constantly tired.

Her mother, Karla, accompanied her to her first consultations with Dr. Minueza, where they learned about the medical brigades held at Fundación Ruth Paz. However, Karla developed facial paralysis, which prevented her from accompanying her daughter to her appointments. Fortunately, her sister was available at the time, and they were able to secure a spot.

“I thank God that I was able to find this foundation, which gave my daughter a solution. Everyone has been very professional and has treated us very well,” says a grateful and very happy mother about her daughter.
