We know that every story of overcoming adversity is a reflection of hope, and today we share the story of José Miguel, a young man who faces great challenges, but who, thanks to the support of his mother and the Foundation, keeps alive the hope of a better future.

José Miguel suffered a serious motorcycle accident that drastically changed his life. A collision with a car left him with severe injuries, and despite receiving care at the hospital, his condition worsened. The surgery needed to restore his mobility is expensive, and due to his financial situation, he lacks the resources to cover the cost of the prosthesis he requires.

It was thanks to a neighbor's wife that they learned about the Ruth Paz Foundation. She, like José Miguel, had received care at the Foundation and recommended they seek help. Upon arriving, they found new hope for José Miguel to regain mobility in his legs and resume his life.

For his mother, Sonia, this process has been an emotional journey filled with suffering, as seeing her son suffer breaks her heart. But with the Foundation's support, Sonia has been able to maintain her faith, knowing that her son will have the opportunity to walk again.

José Miguel, at only 26 years old, has seen his life change drastically since the accident. He was an active man who painted churches and worked to support his family, but now he is completely dependent on others. The situation has been made even more difficult for the family because of the storm that destroyed their cornfield, which they had hoped would help cover the costs of the surgery.
